Roderick De'Angelo Cardine was born on July 24, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois to Darlene Cardine and Roderick Parker. Roderick accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized, under the leadership of Rev. Bill Winston at Living Word Christian Center. Roderick graduated from Austin Community Academy High School on July 22, 2004. There he played basketball for two years. After High School, he attended Morton College for a year. Roderick joined the National Guard then he went on to go to Active Duty with the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge due to his illness. On April 6, 2010, he united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life O'Shara Cardine. To this union one beautiful baby girl was born Ny'Jaree Leasia Cardine. Roderick was a devoted father and husband who went above and beyond for his loved ones. After a great fight, Roderick walked into eternity on Friday, June 4, 2010. Roderick will be missed from the physical aspects of our lives. However, his spirit and love will continually dwell in the hearts of those who love him. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, O'Shara; one daughter, Ny'Jaree; mom, Darlene; father, Roderick (Maggie); stepfather, Albert; three sisters, Angela, Shanice (Brandon), Alesha; one brother, Albert; one niece, Lauryn; two stepsisters, Brittany Parker, Ashley Jones and one stepbrother, Reginald, all of Illinois; one great-grandmother; two grandmothers; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
